Zues was the god of the sky and ruler of the olympian god , zues overthew his father Cronus he then drew lots with his brothers poseidon and Hades. Zues won the draw and became the supreme ruler of the gods .He is lord of the sky the rain god, it is weapon is a thunderbolt which he hurls at those who displease him he is married to Hera but is famous for his many affair . He is also known as to punish those that lie or break the oaths. He was the rain god and the cloud gatherer who wielded the terrible thunderbolt , his breastplate was the aegis his bird the eagle, his tree the oak he is repesented as the god of justice and his mercy the protecter of the weak and the punisher of the wicked , poseidon god of the sea protector of all water poseidon is the brother of zeus. After the overthew of their father Cronus he drew lots with zeus and hades , another brother for shares of the world . His prize was to become lord of the sea, He was widely worshiped by seamen he married Amphitrite a grand daughter of the Titan oceanus. At one point he desires demeter to put him off demeter asked him to make the most beautiful animal that the world had ever seen so to impress her , poseidon created the first horse in some account his first attempts were unsuccessful and created a varity of other animals in his quest . by the time the horse was creater had cooled.
His weapon is a trident which can shake the earth and shatter any object . He is second only to zeus in power amongst the gods he has a difficult quarrelsome personality , he was greedy he had a serves of disputes with other gods when he tried to take over their cities. Hades is the lord of the underworld ruling over the dead , he is a greedy god who is greatly concerned with increasing his subjects , those whose calling increase the number of dead are seen favorably the erinnyes are welcomed guests. He is exceedingly disinclined to allow any of his sublects leave.
He is also the god of wealth due to the precious metals mined from the earth. He has a helmet that makes him invisable , he rarely leaves the underworld , he is unpitying and terrible but not capricious his wife is persephone whom hades abducted he is the king of the dead but death itself is another god thanatos. Poseidon is the god of many name . he is most famous as the god of the sea , the son of Cronus and Rhea, poseidon is one of six siblings who eventually ,, divided the power of the world. His brothers and sister including , hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades and Zeus. The division of the universe involved him and his brothers Zeus and Hades . poseidon become ruler of the sea Zues ruler the sky and Hades got to the underworld . the other divinities attributed to poseidon involve the god of the earthquakes and the horses. The symbols associated with poseidon include dolphin, tridents and three pronged fish spears. Poseidon was reiled upon by sailors for a safe voyage on the sea. Many men drowned horses in sacrifice of his honor he lived on the ocean floor in a palace mode of coral and gems and drove chariot pulled by horses .however poseidon was very moody result in violence when he was in a good mood poseidon created new land in the water and a calm sea , in contrast. When he was in a bad mood poseidon would strike the ground with a trident and cause unruly springs and earthquake ship wrecks and drownings.poseidon was similar to his brother Zeus in exerting his power on women and in objectifying masculinity he had many love affairs and fathered umerous children , poseidon once married a nereid Ampnhitrite and produced Triton
